Step Up Your Tailgating Game

Fall is in the air and for some that means crisp leaves, pumpkin spice lattes, and apple picking. But for millions across the country, fall means football season, and that means tailgating. Are you the type of tailgater who shows up an hour before the game with a bag of sandwiches and a 6-pack of beer? Or is tailgating a way of life for you where you arrive at the stadium hours in advance to stake out your spot, stoke the charcoals of your portable grill, and set up a portable living room? Serious tailgaters are a culture all their own and you too can join their ranks. It’s time to step up your tailgating game with custom stickers and magnets.

The Car

Let’s start with your vehicle. Are you really asking your friends and loved ones to hang out with you out of the back of your SUV without going all out for your team? If you’re a true fan, custom vinyl decals are the way to go. Support your team with team logos and slogans for the sides and back of your car. Cool accents like racing stripes really show you made an effort.

Clear window stickers along the back windshield are another place to customize your car for your tailgating party. They are easy to apply and can be placed without obstructing your view. Support your team every day, not just on Sundays.

If you use your car for work and need something removable, custom car magnets can show off your tailgate on Sundays and come right off Monday morning. You can even move them around. There are smaller magnets for team logos and large size car sign magnets for the side of your car. Create a custom logo for your party for a sign magnet and be the envy of every nearby tailgater. 30 mil car magnets are strong and won’t fall off, so even if the stadium is a long way from home, you won’t lose the magnets on the trip.

The Gear

You may have spent hundreds on a Yeti cooler, but your tailgate gear should reflect your enthusiasm for your team. Don’t forget to outfit your cooler with custom die cut stickers of your team logo. Be helpful to your guests by labeling your coolers with their contents. People won’t have to open them as often and the drinks will stay cold. Have separate coolers for alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages, and food, each with their own label.

The grill is the focal point of a tailgate party. People wait for delicious burgers and hot dogs, milling around the grill in the meantime. You can personalize your grill hood with custom stickers. Some decorative flames at the edges, a fun grill nickname like Smokey the Bear or Hot Stuff, team logos, or a “Life of the Party” slogan all make for fun decorations for your grill.

Don’t’ forget your chairs when you’re preparing the party. Team licensed fold out chairs can cost a lot more than plain ones. You can customize your own chairs with team logo vinyl decals. They’re durable so they’ll survive people jumping up and out of the chairs.

The Location

There’s nothing worse than staking out your perfect parking spot only to have someone pull in right next to it as you’re setting up. Portable banner stands are an affordable, reusable way to reserve your party’s square footage. Once you roll into your spot, pop out the banner stand to let everyone know that this space is reserved for the best tailgating party ever.

The People

You’re going to be very busy manning the grill, making sure your guests are comfortable, and discussing the latest team trade. If you want to make sure you don’t have any interlopers crashing your party, give everyone a nametag sticker. You’ll know if someone doesn’t belong right away.

Be a Tailgating Star

With Blue Bee Printing, the sky is the limit for your next tailgating party. Custom stickers, decals, and banner stands are some of the ways to show off your team spirit. If you have something in mind, consult with our team of designers to help you. The next time you head to the stadium, your party will be so memorable you might forget you’re there to see a game.

Postcards without the Post

Postcards have a lot of appeal as a piece of mail. A postcard stamp is cheaper than a first class stamp. They are visually pleasing and concise. As a marketing piece they are more likely to be read since there is no envelope to open. It’s no wonder that billions of postcards are sent every year. However, postcards are versatile marketing materials with uses that go far beyond the mail room.

Recipe cards

Thanksgiving’s right around the corner and it’s a great time to catch up with family members. In addition to taking photos to preserve the holiday, recipe cards are a wonderful way to remember your family traditions. Grandma’s stuffing, your aunt’s pumpkin pie, your uncle’s turkey – all are treasured recipes to be passed down. Each person can fill out recipe cards for everyone to take home, so at the end of the meal everyone will have a full set of cards. Print a recipe card template on the front and include details like the year, who hosted the meal, who was in attendance, and whose recipe it is. On the back, the person can fill in what they are thankful for that year, or write a memorable family story.

Recipe cards are also great for bridal and baby showers. Send each guest an invitation with a card to be returned at the party. Bridal shower guests can give family recipes. Baby shower guests can give their favorite recipes for kids.

Bar cards

Bars can promote their drink specials, happy hour specials, and upcoming events with postcards in stand-up displays. Leave a few extra on the bar for patrons to take home with them and share with their friends.

Invitations

There’s no rule that says an invitation needs to be delivered in an envelope. A 4 x 6 postcard is a perfectly acceptable party invitation. Kids can hand them out in their classrooms.

Coupons/Specials

Coupons printed on flimsy paper get torn and lost easily. Sturdy postcard stock is perfect for advertising a coupon or special promotion. Businesses can print them out to be inserted in bags at point of purchase. They can be given out in front of a store as a way to draw in customers. Workers at vendor events can give them out to people walking by and initiate conversation.

Product Descriptions

Sometimes it’s not enough to create a product, people want a story to go along with it. Printed cards with your business information on one side and product information on the other are a great way to give product detail.

Thank You Cards

Fall is fundraising season. Sports teams, schools, and scouts are out in force to fund their projects for the year. Cookies, candy, candles, nuts, coupon books, and baked goods top the list of fundraisers. Print thank you postcards ahead of time to give out when the product orders arrive. Include a personal written note on the back. Your customers will appreciate the extra touch and will look forward to purchasing from you again next year.
